An important part of Kindred’s work is providing material aid support to people seeking asylum in Australia. Kindred seek to fulfil material aid needs through donations from the community but there are often situations that require a financial contribution due to urgency.

Kindred seek to fulfil material aid needs through donations from the community but there are often situations that require a financial contribution due to urgency.

Please read the Kindred Financial Spending Guidelines for further details. Any contribution you can make is greatly appreciated and goes a long way to support Kindred’s important work.

We are currently working on obtaining charity status to assist with easy online donations, in the mean time contact us at xvaqerqxvaqarff@tznvy.pbz if you'd like to make a donation.

Donation Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in supporting Kindred!

We are a small organisation run entirely by volunteers, and working to meet the very specific needs of the families we support. We regularly post call-outs on the Action Network for items needed by these families and are grateful for the generous response we always receive from our network of supporters!

Unfortunately, as we have very limited storage space, we are unable to accept donations of material goods and furniture unless it is in response to a specific need.

If you have items (furniture, appliances, household items, clothing and baby items, etc) that you would like to donate to a family in need, please consider contacting the organisations listed below.

Looking for other ways to help out Kindred families? Here are some ideas!

  • Sell the items you were going to donate (on eBay, Gumtree, local buy/sell/swap groups), and donate the proceeds to Kindred.
  • Convert your credit card points into gift cards (Woolworths, Coles, etc), which can be given directly to the families we support.
  • Monetary donations are welcome! We regularly help our families purchase essentials such as nappies, mobile phone credit, and food.
  • Our quarterly food drives are a great way to fill the pantries of the families we support. Look out for the information on our next upcoming food drive on our Facebook group.
  • Host a fundraiser for us, and raise money and awareness at the same me! Be sure to watch our Facebook group for call-outs for specific needs as they arise, and for information on a potential upcoming recycling event later in the year. If you have any questions about donations or supporng Kindred, please do contact us directly at xvaqerqxvaqarff@tznvy.pbz.
